I attended the CGOA/TKGA FiberArts Market last weekend. Sensory overload. Booth after booth of yummy yarns and gadgets, books, patterns, buttons, hooks, spinning wheels.. somebody stop me. My credit card is still smoking. I think my best buy was a long, wooden Q hook from The Stitch Divas. Love their designs. Check out the Crocheted Flower Contest that Marcia, one of the members of our Stitch group won on the Diva site.
There were several men in classes and hanging out just crocheting or knitting. Let’s hear it for the boys!
Two of my best friends went with me. Daughter #2 and grand daughter # 1. My daughter learned to knit and grand daughter to crochet. Grand daughter pulls her yarn loops over the hook with her fingers. Too cute. You go girls!

I took three classes. My favorite was Crochet Tips and Techniques, taught by Lily Chin. Yes. She is fast. When you crochet the foundation chain turn it around to the back side and begin your first row in the bump that is in the middle of the chain. Beautiful finished edge. When crocheting in the round if you make the short end piece of yarn in your slip knot the end you use to tighten, you will elimate the larger holes in the center. You can also crochet a really large number of stitches in that begining chain then tighten it up when you’re done.
By the way. Missa- you’re the best!
