After very little deliberation I decided it was time to not only read everyone elses blogs but start my own. Needle arts are my passion, vechile for relaxation and outlet for creativity. Hence, my long standing addiction to fiber. My grandmother taught me to crochet following a very frustrating attempt at teaching me to knit. I think she actually pulled her own hair. I do knit, but like a lot of crocheters, I carry the yarn in my left hand.
I am now a grandmother and outraged everytime I hear anything dated, ugly or stale referred to as “your grandmother’s….” We have been taking risks for a long time and sure don’t stop when it comes to our craft or art. You’ll find we love everything from traditional to trendy.

Here is a pic of my lastest “in process”. A rug from recycled silk saris. It’s not the easiest yarn to handle due to the uneven wind but the results are fun. Lots of texture and color. A basket combined with another yarn and a pillow or two just might be next.
