Found a new (o.k. just new to me) Christmas CD that will get you rockin’. If they don’t warm your bones nothin’ will. Grab a cup of hot chocolate, your hook and yarn, plop them in the CD player and enjoy! The Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I have always thought that I possessed a sufficient amount of manual dexterity. I might even go so far to say I have great fine motor skills. Apparently that’s crap. Can I say Crap? It all started with that idiot on the radio. He was touting the “if you don’t use it you loose it†theory. That would be brain power. I’m getting to the manual dexterity stuff. He had experts that said you should even take different routes to work. Not to fall into the routines. Then there is that pesky, buzz in my ear, pain in my arse friend who never listens to my excuses. Combine the idiot on the radio, my friend, my life long desire to play the violin with a 40+ birthday and you have Me trying to play the violin. Well first of all no one bothered to tell me music is math and about 50 foreign languages. And now I find my fourth finger is apparently independent from my brain and the rest of my body for that matter. I would have been better off with a pool boy and a red corvette. I think I’ll spit and then route 14 different ways to get work.
I found this on one of the blogs I read. Just google search your name plus the word needs and come up with your own top ten.
I Need:
1. Adoption bulletin .. (no! no more kids!)
2. Law-lib
3. Roots ..(here, here)
4. Compass ..(I do get lost in my own house)
5. The sacred buffalo .. (is that anything like a sacred cow?)
6. Empower the children .. (right. like I have ever had any control)
7. Adoptable Dogs .. (hey, what’s up with this adoption stuff)
8. Vurtual class room
9. Financial planning .. (somebody heard how much I spend on yarn)
10. Open door to sweet relief ..(ahhhh the best for last. Google really does know me)
Wow. I can’t believe I haven’t posted in such a long time!
One of the advantages of being and empty nester is being mobile. Get someone to feed the cats and dog then hit the road. One of our favorite places to play is Disneyland. It is about a six hour drive from our house. Less if I nap and, therefore, do not know how fast DH is driving. I look forward to being in our own little bubble in the car. We talk, listen to audio books and get back in touch with eachother.
For us, the Park is still a magical place. Full of art and wonder…. We usually can time things to avoid many of the long lines. However, you can get a great deal of crocheting or knitting done in those lines! Socks, booties, hats, scarves are all perfect for “line work”. I have one of those little wrist bags. Slide that baby on and let the comments and questions roll.
Below is a pic of Mr. Right and I on one of the kiddie rides.

I cannot believe how BUSY I have been. That job of mine really gets in the way of my never ending search for “discretionay” time. I am fond of eating and yarn so, alas, I’ll stop complaining and hit KnitPicks for some more yarn when I finish this post.
I finally uploaded the photos from the Fair.
Note the cute 4 year old in the knitted T. She has me crocheting Barbie clothes. Barbie has a poncho out of to-die-for Koigu (I do not). She has a slinky green halter trimmed in black with saucy little shorts to match (I do not) and she is apparently going to be getting a granny square afgan (you got it-I do not have one). I do have a very happy 4 year old granddaugher. Heavy Sigh I’ll get started on my Koigu Shawl someday……
